iRun4Life Gives Back Program
We are excited to announce the new iRun4Life Gives Back Program which will support a community needs-based project each year. Our goal is to give children in need opportunities to be excited about getting fit and staying healthy.
Our first Gives Back Program recipient was Bayard Taylor Elementary in North Philadelphia. This school needed new exercise and team building equipment for the children.
During the week of April 24, 2017 runners from various iRun4Life affliated elementary schools participated in exciting, fitness-based fundraising activities. These included color runs, music-based relay races, obstacle courses and endurance running! The children at Bayard Taylor colored pictures and wrote notes to the iRun4Life runners to encourage them to run, and thank them for fundraising for the gym equipment.
iRun4Life runners successfully raised over $7,400, and all the new exercise equipment will be delivered to the children at Bayard Talyor in September 2017 for the start of the new school year. We are incredibly proud of our runners and thank them and their families for their support.
